Soy and the Benefits for Humans March 10, 2012

I have been doing more research on the soy bean and all of it benefits to humans. This plant has been linked with lowering the risk for not only heart disease but prostate and breast can to. After reading a little from the American Cancer Society on how some of their studies have shown a reduced risk for breast cancer and prostate cancer in some. Who would have know a small little bean could have such a positive effect over the fight of cancer. My grandfather passed away from prostate cancer just a little over ten years ago and I have a girlfriend from high school who found out at 27 she had breast cancer. I hope that one day there is a way that this little bean will be able help keep people alive and healthy.

Oh, it is also good for hair growth. So if you know anyone with a hair loss problem you should recommend some soybean in their diet.  This will help in hair growth because of the amino acids from the soy bean have a chance of attaching themselves to the chain of amino acids in the keratin*.

But even with all this good there is a bad. We as Americans have had a little problem with having to much of not only soybeans but corn too. It seems that with the fact that we are able to change the original seed of both plants and now we yield way to much crop from both.

If you would like to know more about the corn problem I recommend watching the documentary film King Corn.  It has a very easy way to understand just part of some problems. See just how much corn we have instead our bodies and that of what we eat.

What do cows eat?………..we if you said grass your wrong……about 60% corn diet.

* keratin – a scleroprotein or albuminoid substance, found in the dead outer skin layer, and in horn, hair, feathers, hoofs, nails, claws, bills, etc.

Testing Stage March 8, 2012

He is a little behind the product that JSS has to offer. I try to make sure that no matter what  I always test the product before even thinking about selling in my store. This one is a three layer candle I call Orange Cream. The bottom of the candle is a orange, the middle is a mix of orange and white. The top which is pretty much melted down in the photos is a white.

This is how I make sure that my candles will be very enjoyable and fill the room in your home with a delicious smell.

Here are a few photos from testing a three layer candle:

So have you ever order something online? But after you hit send payment button you want it the VERY next day?

Well I got one item but it was not the one I wanted the most. It all started when I went online and had a little money to spare and figure I could get a few thing for myself and the boys (Sebastian 4yr, Eli 1yr). Little did I know how addicting it could be to shop online; I found some amazing deals for almost everything I needed. Now I have all these BRILLIANT ideas and nothing to make them with. I am hoping that tomorrow is not another long day of waiting.

I am hoping to post a few pictures of some of my NEW items that will be coming very soon to my shop over at storenvy.com. If you have not done so already be sure to check it out.

ImageSo I am sure you all have seen that I have not been posting in the last few months. I am sure most of you thought that this would just be the end of JSS. But I like to think of it has a WHOLE NEW beginning. I have been very busy with myself adjusting to the SAHM and now ready to get the ball rolling again with my candles. This is such a stress reliever for me and I am happy to be able to share with others.

I have begun to test every one of my products to ensure that the customer will get the best that I can make for a much lower cost. I am so excited to RE-LUNCH JSS.

I will also begin to post certain peoples web pages that I think have wonderful products and great customer services. Don’t forget to subscribe so that you don’t miss out on any deals. Also be sure to check out our soy Facts of the week to see what Soy can do for you!

Thank you!

Feeling Anxious About Something… August 23, 2011

Have you ever had that feeling like you want to just “jump out the seat of your pants”? Well I must say you are not alone. If there is one thing I have learn while trying to make a small business get a little attention in hopes(very distance hope) that one day I would be able to have a little bit of something instead of having to work all day at my 9-5. This is not a horrible job in itself just that I have to be away from my children for longer than I would like. So now I question a lot of other things and feel as if I have gotten myself all turned around and around. So here are my few problems listen if you want or just hit the road…no really listen.

  • So my husband and I own two cars, but both cars are now dead in the drive way. We however are very lucky to have such wonderful love ones that have been so kind to lend their car that are not being used. But now we are faced with the fact that somehow we need to get a new car at a time when we are trying to save for a home. This also means that we will have a car payment again (only because we had extremely old cars 95 Tarsus and 99 Eclipse). Son any ways to make this story not take the whole entire page, I just want to say how much I am just wishing for a break from money issues just like so many other out there.

    Okay but enough on that…

  • Feeling like my night is so short and I can never get anything done that I want to get done. Is anyone else feeling this way?

Well anyways I am sure we all are feeling a little anxious about something right about now, heck we had an earthquake today and I live in Maryland.

Hope you enjoyed this reading and thank you for listening!
